The German artist Daniel Rode (born 1971) has been artist-in-residence at the Goethe-Institute Hanoi since September with a grant from the Culture Foundation of the Federal State of Sachsen, Germany. He is participating in the Month of Arts Practice, an international project organized by Heritage Space Hanoi. He will also give lectures for one week at universities in Hanoi and Hue.
His art practice is conceptually based. He often works with text in drawing and installation.
The lecture “Who’s afraid of Conceptual Art…?” will cover several art projects by Daniel Rode of the last years, with an introduction to Conceptual Art in general.
