1. Cultural Program “Spring Colors Across Vietnam”

Vietnam National Village for Ethnic Culture and Tourism

“Spring Colors Across Vietnam” is a cultural program which takes place at the Vietnam National Village for Ethnic Culture and Tourism throughout February. At the center of the program is a spring festival with the same theme, taking place on February 24 and 25, 2018. This is an annual event held to celebrate the cultural heritage of all ethnic groups in Vietnam. It features interesting festivities, art performances, and distinctive folk games and traditional dishes of the ethnic groups. The festival has the participation of 80 ethnic people of 11 Vietnamese ethnic groups (Tày, Dao, Mông, Thái, Mường, Khơ Mú, Tà Ôi, Cơ Tu, RagLai, Ê Đê, Khmer) in collaboration with artists from the Vietnam National Academy of Music.
2. Lunar New Year at Hanoi Old Quarter

A series of events introducing the Lunar New Year traditions organized by the Hanoi Old Quarter’s management board, featuring cultural activities and folk music performances at old houses and cultural centers in the Old Quarter.

5. Light Music Festival

The entire Bao Son Paradise Park will be turned into a Light City. Carefully-crafted in 6 months by hundreds of artisans, the Light City will feature about 100 sculptures in a variety of shapes including windmill, glass shoes, flamingos, orchestra, angel, swan, pumpkin, dolphin,…, creating a picturesque fairy land for festival-goers.
6. New Year Book Street

In celebration of the Year of the Dog 2018, a Book Street event will take place from 18 to 25 Feb 2018 on the 19/12 Book Street in Hanoi. A variety of books (children, literary, economic, technology, foreign-language,… books) will be displayed and introduced at the event by several publishing houses. Other activities such as book signing, book reading, discussions with authors, discussions about calligraphy art, painting corner for kids,… will also take place.
7. “Happy Year of the Dog”: The Culture of Binh Phuoc

Come experience the new year traditions of the southern province of Binh Phuoc where nature is untouched by human. The sound of gongs, the melody of folk songs and traditional instrument here are considered the soul of cultural life of the southern people, which contains hidden meanings and beauty. The southern traditional dishes will be a big surprise to visitors. The event is an opportunity to experience the Tết traditions of both the South and the North of Vietnam while being in Hanoi. 10. Ca Trù Concert “Worship Songs for Spring”

After the success of the “Spring melody” concert in January, Kim Duc Ca Quan (a group of ca trù singers) proudly presents February’s ca trù (Vietnam’s ancient chamber music) concert with the theme “Worship Songs for Spring”. Phung Hung Street in Hanoi has transformed into an art space with 17 paintings on the walls of a railway viaduct that passes it. Inspired by the memories of old Hà Nội and Vietnamese culture, the murals are the result of the project “Community Art for a Better Place” – a collaboration between Vietnamese and South Korean artists.
