From the organizer:
Have you noticed the joyful feeling on the streets lately? It’s time for our sacred Tet holiday (also known as Lunar New Year). As the special fest approaches, we will start celebrating it with a typical Tet dinner, which includes making Banh Chung (traditional Vietnamese rick cake) and Nem (spring roll), decorating our house, and preparing a meal. This event is open to everyone, especially who is curious about our customs, wants to live the Vietnamese traditional life or to find the feeling of belonging in such time for a family reunion.
There will be a small charge for the ingredients and space. After finishing cooking, you can bring home your own foods, or stay and spend the meal/time with us. You will also have the chance to “looking after the giant boiling pot of prepared Banh Chung” through the night, a very nostalgic custom for us Vietnamese.
Our main activities:
* Folding spring rolls
* Making Vietnamese vegetable pickles
* Wrapping Chung cakes
* Boiling Chung cakes and looking after the pot
* Preparing a traditional meal
For separate activities: 50,000VND/Banh Chung (Chung Cake) and 8,000VND/Nem (Spring Roll)
For a combo: 200,000VND/4 Banh Chung and 10 Nem
*** Vegan options will be available
