What drives me to practice art? I am constantly looking for the answers to this question. Some appear during my search, but I doubt them all. Art practice is a long journey where sometimes its meaning does not lie in the final destination but in the emotions experienced by the artist along the way. I think that an art practitioner is much like a traveler, one who would bear the wounds in the whole world and leave for an endless and hopeless journey.
My works are experiments and researches. I try to experiment with different series, each with their own language; and behind those shapes is the succession of elements in a whole process.
Depend on the space and time of his stay, the art practitioner has their way to make their voice be heard. The world of today, the land I am living in, wound me profoundly, the wounds either visible or invisible. Yet invisible wounds are always more gruesome than the visible ones. I always try to touch the depth of each wound, but it is not an easy thing to do. It goes without saying that personal questioning is the one consistency of my art.
“Succession” is the title of my exhibition for this time. It is a process of implementation of different series, a succession of both style and reflections. With this set of 26 paintings, I express my desire to touch the modern human’s consciousness, one that could not be described in any language.
