Between the mass entertainment, the continuous flow of information and the constant buzz of comments, our world has become very noisy… For most of us, we think that’s how life should be. Could it be that we were wrong? In any case, it is the opinion of our poet, who sees in silence an indispensable prerequisite for the perception of the world and the tiny variations of life, that being silent is the only way to feel them all.

Nature is thus an essential element in the work of Mai Van Phan, whose poems inspired by the soil, the harvests, the trees, the rivers, the sea, and sometimes by the perpetual outpouring of life. An indefatigable observer of his environment, the poet finds a mirror both to contemplate his soul and reflect on the world at the same time.
