From Heritage Space:

“6-hour-Jam: Đẹp trai chết hết” is a special ultra sound synthesis in collaboration between Heritage Space and Rắn Cạp Đuôi Collective on the occasion of Rắn cạp Đuôi re-landing Hanoi from far-flung Saigon this summer for a dynamic tour named “Fever Meme Tour”. This synthesis will also be the first lightning of Heritage Space’s new thunderstorm music series “Guided by Voices”.

Oh reality reality with new vesture. Transforming ear floss roll in human aquarium.

How to define ĐẸP TRAI CHẾT HẾT?
– a nonsensical personal promotion trick, for Rắn Cạp Đuôi Collective’s second scrabble to Hanoi the capital, bringing along the their new album, with various musical contribution of not-yet-formed faces and/or non-existent existences.

An extremely loud, extremely quiet, extremely exquisite, extremely stupid sound synthesis… endlessly lasts for 6 hours! There’s nearly no other certain plan about things happening from bloody hot noon at 3.30 to lingering moon night at 10 except for long-diverse non-stop music played by not-yet-fully-formed faces in music, in Hanoi and in Rắn, from Saigon, accompanying by oscillating visual and wandering improvised poetry.

There ain’t no band. There’s gonna be just individuals with their own music material(s) and their own language(s). Even to build or to break different music borders, or to insult life’s tiresome neuro, this synthesis enables us to vanish among the noise – not only from the musicians.

THE LONG LINE-UP WILL BE UPDATED!

About the artist:

Ran Cap Duoi self-describes themselves with terms and whose definitions and purposes are even alien to themselves, let alone them being captured in plain, tedious manmade language (?) Therefore, there are tonful ways of (mis)understanding them, or their musical presence, the performances, and this ultrameta descriptive wording you’re beholding, or their conceptualization. Or, perhaps, they play music, be it music to your ears (or not), be it torture (or a tortorrent), it is up to your sensory perception entirely.

They played at many music venues in Hanoi during Tet holiday (2018) following their dynamic series: “Sườn, bì, chả, ốp la” and in this June, they will come back to sooth their miss of Hanoi (and for bun chả) and promote their own music for new range of audiences.

About the series:

“Guided by voices” is Heritage Space’s new music series, inspired by the love of the activity of sounds as well as the different communication between sounds and each individuals. “Guided by voices” expects to introduce the ‘underground’ voices hidden in Hanoi and elsewhere and create an environment to enable the potential (non)sense dialogue between music and the listeners. Every sound/voice worths listening to.

About the organizer:

HERITAGE SPACE is a combination of a gallery, library, concert hall, co-working space, boarding room and outdoor space with the possibility of organizing exhibitions, concerts and performances, education and exchange, artists residency programs, and many other activities. Run by a team of curators, art researchers, and artists, Heritage Space is aspiring to become an intersection of individuals/groups/ organizations from a wide range of domestic and international creative fields, with a long-term goal to support and develop the creative industry in Vietnam.
