FVH Film Night: “Aimless” by Pham Nhue Giang

“Aimless” (2003) is an independent film based on the script “Without Eva” by writer Nguyen Quang Lap and made under the sponsorship by international cinematography development funds such as Fond Francophonie (France) and Vision Sud Est (Swiss). The film tells a story about a young countryside couple in a journey to earn a living in the big city while trying to overcome financial hardship and look for happiness. The story of the young couple well depicts the life of immigrants from the countryside to the big city in the context full of temptation and weaken moral values. The film is interesting with artistic frames with high contrast and unexpected twists, which take audience go through a journey full of emotions.
Produced since 2003, “Aimless” has won different prestigious prizes:
– The Silver Kite by Vietnamese Cinematography Association 2013
– The Silver Lotus by Vietnamese Film Festival 2013
The film is 90-minute long with English subtitles.

Reserved seating tickets are allocated on a first come – first served basis. We don’t pre-book seating but if you come early you can get one of the big comfy armchair seats.
