From L’Espace:
You are invited to the discussion “Cinematographic characteristics in Romain Gary’s works” within the framework of the French Literature Week: From Pages to Screens, with the participation of:

– Truong Que Chi, film director
Romain Gary, the only novelist to have twice received the Goncourt Prize, is well known in Vietnam thanks to the local editions of several of his books such as “La promesse de l’aube” (Promise at Dawn), “La vie devant soi” (The Life Before Us), “Gros-Câlin and Les Racines du Ciel” (The Roots of Heaven). However, Vietnamese readers may not be aware that many of his literary works were adapted into movies and that he himself has also taken an interest in cinema on several occasions.
