From the organizer:
After four acclaimed open exhibitions from 2013 to 2016 and a year of rest in 2017, Work Room Four is very proud to say that The Hanoi Open Exhibition is now in its fifth year. Exhibiting both professional and amateur Vietnamese and international artists the Fifth Hanoi Open Exhibition is a showcase for artistic diversity.
At the central location of the Fine Art Exhibition space at 93 Dinh Tien Hoang Work Room Four will be exhibiting work from both budding new artists and accomplished names in the industry. Over the past two decades there has been phenomenal and unprecedented artistic, commercial and social development in Vietnam. Hanoi remains central to the country’s creative community. Contemporary Vietnamese artists have become respected around the world for their resourceful approach, cultural and social dialogue and creative sensitivity. Likewise, international artists are increasingly finding Hanoi and Vietnam an invaluable source of inspiration for their own work.
There is no central theme to the Open Exhibition, except that it is open in all senses, open for all to enter and open for a variety of mediums and open for all to visit with no admission charge. Artists are invited to submit a maximum of two pieces, which are then considered for selection before being curated for display. The exhibition is a unique showcase for art in a variety of mediums; painting, sculpture, photography and print, and is as much an opportunity for art enthusiasts as it is for the artists themselves.
This year edition is supported by the British Council in Vietnam.
