From Institut français de Huế:

Hué is a charming city on the banks of Huong River. With the Imperial City by the Nguyen dynasty, Hue remains today a cultural and intellectual center of Vietnam, with palaces, pagodas and tombs each more sumptuous and majestic than the next.

Born and raised in Hue, Le Huy Hoang Hai had a peaceful childhood and saw the changes in his hometown, particularly known as the city of festivals in the country.

Passionate about photography, he has traveled every corner of the city to capture the simple moments of everyday life, from foggy mornings on the Trang Tien bridge to the feet of workers in a hurry to get their livelihood. Even more, he has many magnificent photos of palaces, pagodas and tombs in the twilight light of the city.

This exhibition is entitled “Land of Dreams” because the photographer wants to tell a real story about the rhythm of life of the inhabitants of Hue. Try once to come to Hue to see the Huong River, the elegance of the young Vietnamese women in traditional white áo dài, to listen to the bell of Thien Mu pagoda… You will fall in love with it.
