From Heritage Space:

Landscape refers not only to the natural landscape or our natural surroundings, but also to a social-cultural system that people consensus creates in the flow of history.

Film, as a medium, is in itself a projection. Through cinematics, films combine the factual with the fictional, not only presenting and reconstructing a regional landscape but also raising crucial questions about shaping and reshaping space, land, or territory.

The “Landscape” series include selected films according to historical progress, from the first long-documentary films of cinema history (Nanook from the North, 1922) to the films of the contemporary filmmakers in the area (24 City, Manufactured Landscapes, The story of ones, The Sound We See: A Hanoi City Symphony). Put them in comparison, the “Landscape” series propose a renewed understanding of the landscape in the past to the present through vignettes of collective memory and personal experiences.
