In 1919, the Vietnamese script became the official script of Vietnam after the final national examination of using Chinese script. To mark the 100th anniversary of the event, linguists will present the latest research on the formation of Quốc ngữ script and the role of Jesuit priests, including Alexandre de Rhodes, as well as the reform initiatives of the later generations.
