Watch the trailer:
The touching and impressive life journey of Effi Briest hasn’t lost its validity or relevance. The main character Effi seems to be torn between the drive to life a self-determinated life and the acceptance of the given circumstances. Parallels to the Vietnamese epic TRUYEN KIEU (The Story of Kieu) can be found. The question concerning the position of the woman in the context of social expectations and constrains is a topic of the Vietnamese-German communication.
