Inspired by street shots of Vietnamese fashion from the 1960’s, these images explore the design aesthetic of Vietnam’s urban environment. Fashion and architecture do not exist in isolation from each other or their city. They are mapping the style which is emerging now in Vietnam. Nexus is the connection between these two fields. We bring together contemporary architecture and fashion design and connect them directly in a photo series. Architecture is the backdrop for new fashion; the models are live inhabitants for the architecture. It is a collaboration between academic staff at RMIT based in Vietnam and Melbourne;Vietnamese architects and fashion designers.
