Photography contributes to social change by chronicling history, radiating emotions, driving actions, and opening up new questions and boundaries. This transformation is, to an extent, reflected in this roundtable among the notable figures of the “new” generation of photographers in Vietnam, from those who were born in the hazy yet fervent 1960s to the sophisticated yet challenging 2000s. In the roundtable, the guest speakers will share with the audiences their points of view on self-renewal and the transformation of Vietnamese photography inside and outside the country, and thus, how the stories told through photography have changed and become more complex and diverse.
