Within the framework of the events to enhance the cultural exchange and cooperation between Vietnam and Austria, in May 2023 the Austrian Embassy in Hanoi will organise a series of concerts by artist Jakob Steinkellner with the accordion instrument in Ho Chi Minh City , Da Nang and Hanoi.

In Ho Chi Minh City, the Austrian Embassy is cooperating with University of Social Sciences & Humanities; Vietnam National University – Ho Chi Minh City to organize this concert

In Da Nang, the Austrian Embassy is cooperating with Da Nang College of Culture and Arts to organize this concert

In Ha Noi, the Austrian Embassy together with the Vietnam – Austria Friendship Assocation (VAFA) and the Vietnam National Academy of Music organises the “Austrian – Vietnamese Music Evening”. The Austrian Artist, Jakob Steinkellner will have a performance with talented Vietnamese artists.

From 19:00 on May 12, 2023 to May 14, 2023, in the area of Ho Guom walking street, the largest European cultural event in Vietnam will take place Europe Village 2023.
As a European member state, Austria will bring to the village an interesting and diverse image of Austria. In addition, the talented young Austrian artist Jacob Steinkellner with his accordion will also bring to the Vietnamese audience a little Austrian space.

About the artist::

Jakob Steinkellner was born in Linz, Austria, in 1995 and began learning the accordion in 2001. At the age of 14 he passed the entrance exam for the “artistic basic studies” on the accordion at the Anton Bruckner Private University Linz in the class of Alfred Melichar. At the same time he began learning the diatonic harmonica. In 2020 Jakob Steinkellner completed his master’s degree in accordion pedagogy and accordion concert subject at the Anton Bruckner Private University in Linz with distinction. In addition, he completed the specialization studies “Making Music with People with Disabilities” and “Diatonic Harmonica”.

Since 2022 he has been a professor at the Munich University of Music and Theater and head of the folk music course. Jakob Steinkellner has given concerts in countries such as Austria, Germany, Italy, the Czech Republic, United Kingdom, Hungary, Slovenia, Slovakia, the Ukraine, Peru, Canada, China, Tanzania and others.
