From the organizer:
After seven years away from Saigon Classical, young artist Hồ Khánh Vân will return to the audiences with a piano recital titled Wiederkehr (Return). Hồ Khánh Vân has come back to her homeland and to her audiences in a new light, after years of honing her craft and achieving notable accomplishments in her artistic journey abroad.
Hồ Khánh Vân has won awards in national and international piano competitions across Europe, including First Prize and the Nuovo-Imaei Prize at the Mauro Paolo Monopoli International Piano Competition in Italy (2023) and the Classical-Sonata Prize at the Verona Piano Competition in Italy (2023). Before this, she earned First Prize at the Hungarian National Piano Competition (2018), Second Prize at the Ile-de-France International Piano Competition (2018), and Third Prize at the Danubia Talents International Music Competition in Austria (2018).
These successes have brought her to perform in Hungary, France, Germany, Austria, and Italy and many more. She has appeared as a soloist with the Kaliningrad Symphony Orchestra and the Soundiff Orchestra. In 2023, her debut CD was released by Empirica, featuring works by great Romantic composers, including Chopin, Mendelssohn, Schumann, and Liszt. She has also been featured and interviewed on platforms such as NDR, Barlettalive, and Francetvinfo in Germany, Italy, and France.
Regarding the Wiederkehr program, young artist Hồ Khánh Vân shared: “The term ‘concert,’ in my view, relates to ‘harmony.’ It’s not just about the harmonious combination of musical pieces but also the exchange of energy between the audience and the artist through those works. With this continuous program, I aim to share a story with musical messages brought into everyday life, allowing us to explore music together in the most approachable, authentic, and vibrant way.”
