About project: Ồ Ạt is an independent art project dedicated to interdisciplinary activities in diverse formats for artists, such as artist residencies, exhibitions, dance and movement performances, film screenings, and film talent incubation. “Ồ Ạt” aims to create a festive space where artists can expand their practices and foster connections between the arts, the public and other creative industries, contributing to a more complete art ecosystem.

Ồ Ạt 2024 took the form of ‘pop-up shows’ themed “Outsiders”, highlighting experienced multimedia artists, discovering and nurturing emerging new talents, and supporting self-taught practitioners. Activities in Ồ Ạt 2024 prioritised access to contemporary art for younger audiences and seeks to forge new connections among artists, between artists and audiences, artists and spaces, and between artists and organisers.

The event held in HCMC featured a diverse programme including exhibitions, performances, film screenings, space visits, artist residencies, open labs, concerts, stand-up comedy and talk shows.

HANOI GRAPEVINE’s FINEST is an annual event that honors contemporary art projects in Vietnam. The event is organized and nominated by Hanoi Grapevine and the general audience.

Entering its 6th year, Hanoi Grapevine’s Finest aims to go beyond an annual honouring event to become a contemporary archive of Vietnam’s art and cultural landscape, as well as a foundational platform to promote interdisciplinary collaborations both domestically and internationally, towards an open, fair, and transparent ecosystem.

This year, Hanoi Grapevine’s Finest 2024-2025 is divided into two major categories: Honouring and Recognition. Nominations are selected based on sets of criteria that aim to highlight the developmental significance and scale of impact, including activity level, community impact, creativity, organisational capability and artistic quality.
