EXHIBITION: THE FAMILY

About project: “THE FAMILY” was the first children’s book exhibition of The Initiative of Children’s Book Creative Content (ICBC) in Vietnam, with the belief that family is the solid foundation for children, a peaceful place where they are nurtured and educated to grow up healthy and happy.
Children’s books are a great touch point for young children to discover the beauty of words, of illustrations and the meaningful message of stories, with which they can nurture their imagination, empathy and their own dreams. With new, engaging and attractive reading experiences, the exhibition was a great door for children to approach the colourful world of art.

The exhibition featured 04 displays and interactive installations with high educational and aesthetic values, along with a series of art tours, workshops. Through the selection and introduction of 100 children’s books on the topic of family that have been published in Vietnam, “THE FAMILY” opened up diverse, broad and profound perspectives on family, evoking the children’s positive thoughts about loving relationships in the family through the language of children’s books, and promoting the sustainable development of reading culture in families, schools, and communities.

HANOI GRAPEVINE’s FINEST is an annual event that honors contemporary art projects in Vietnam. The event is organized and nominated by Hanoi Grapevine and the general audience.

Entering its 6th year, Hanoi Grapevine’s Finest aims to go beyond an annual honouring event to become a contemporary archive of Vietnam’s art and cultural landscape, as well as a foundational platform to promote interdisciplinary collaborations both domestically and internationally, towards an open, fair, and transparent ecosystem.

This year, Hanoi Grapevine’s Finest 2024-2025 is divided into two major categories: Honouring and Recognition. Nominations are selected based on sets of criteria that aim to highlight the developmental significance and scale of impact, including activity level, community impact, creativity, organisational capability and artistic quality.
