Nghề Nghệ Art Fair is a series of creative fairs established in 2023 in Hanoi, sponsored by the community space COMPLEX 01, aimed at fostering interaction and mutual support between “Nghệ-Makers” (creators) and “Nghệ-Players” (audience) in a creative, cross-disciplinary space for young people, contributing to elevating Vietnamese art values.

Nghề Nghệ Art Fair brings together individuals and collectives from the art and creative fields in Vietnam, including art practitioners, modern artists, and those who preserve traditional art forms and crafts. It supports them in engaging with and forming deep connections with the local community, promoting creative products, and spreading enthusiasm for art and crafts to a wider audience.

In 2024, the Nghề Nghệ Art Fair organised various fairs such as “Tết Nguyên Đán”, “L.A.B (Let Art Boom!)”, “Rocking Around Nghề Nghệ Art Fair”, “Creative Factory”, and the exhibition “UNION 01: Past & Present” within the framework of COMPLEX Fest. The project also hosted workshops such as “Storytelling with Cut-outs – Practising with Zines & Collage” and “Carving and making Linocut prints”, and took part in the “Kiến Thiết Thanh Xuân” fair at the Hanoi Youth Palace.

HANOI GRAPEVINE’s FINEST is an annual event that honors contemporary art projects in Vietnam. The event is organized and nominated by Hanoi Grapevine and the general audience.

Entering its 6th year, Hanoi Grapevine’s Finest aims to go beyond an annual honouring event to become a contemporary archive of Vietnam’s art and cultural landscape, as well as a foundational platform to promote interdisciplinary collaborations both domestically and internationally, towards an open, fair, and transparent ecosystem.

This year, Hanoi Grapevine’s Finest 2024-2025 is divided into two major categories: Honouring and Recognition. Nominations are selected based on sets of criteria that aim to highlight the developmental significance and scale of impact, including activity level, community impact, creativity, organisational capability and artistic quality.
