Active Curators & Producers 2024-2025: Curatorial team at Hanoi Festival of Creative Design

CURATORIAL TEAM AT HANOI FESTIVAL OF CREATIVE DESIGN

Lê Thuận Uyên, Vân Đỗ, and Phạm Minh Hiếu made up the curatorial team for the exhibitions and displays at Hanoi Children’s Palace as part of the Hanoi Festival of Creative Design 2024.

Over more than half a year of working together, the three curators have brought their diverse experiences and expertise from different areas of practice to the Hanoi Festival of Creative Design 2024, collectively contemplating and pondering about a grand exhibition at Hanoi Children’s Palace – a place that holds memories and emotions of many generations.

The nine-day festival featured a symbolic installation, 4 seminars and talks, 20 exhibitions, 10 performances and showcases, and 10 community activities. The three curators worked closely with over 100 artists to craft an intergenerational “adventures” that resonated by connecting the diverse pieces of contemporary artists into one exhibition.

HANOI GRAPEVINE’s FINEST is an annual event that honors contemporary art projects in Vietnam. The event is organized and nominated by Hanoi Grapevine and the general audience.

Entering its 6th year, Hanoi Grapevine’s Finest aims to go beyond an annual honouring event to become a contemporary archive of Vietnam’s art and cultural landscape, as well as a foundational platform to promote interdisciplinary collaborations both domestically and internationally, towards an open, fair, and transparent ecosystem.

This year, Hanoi Grapevine’s Finest 2024-2025 is divided into two major categories: Honouring and Recognition. Nominations are selected based on sets of criteria that aim to highlight the developmental significance and scale of impact, including activity level, community impact, creativity, organisational capability and artistic quality.
