Finest Organisers 2024-2025: Xinê House
XINÊ HOUSE
Founded in: 2018
Xinê House is a non-profit organisation founded in 2018 in HCMC by film director Phan Gia Nhật Linh, aiming to create a space for learning and connection among filmmakers to radiate the love for cinema and nurturing Vietnam’s film community.
In 2024, Xinê House continued its four core activities: Xinê Xem Shorts – screenings of independent short films by Vietnamese filmmakers; Xinê Xem Chill – screenings of Vietnamese and international feature films followed by discussions; five Sunday Talk events discussing films; and Xinê Xem Fest – a honouring event for short films previously screened in Xinê Xem Shorts.
Xinê House also organised meet-ups with the crews behind the independent films “Cu Li Never Cries” and “Don’t Cry, Butterfly”.
HANOI GRAPEVINE’s FINEST is an annual event that honors contemporary art projects in Vietnam. The event is organized and nominated by Hanoi Grapevine and the general audience.
Entering its 6th year, Hanoi Grapevine’s Finest aims to go beyond an annual honouring event to become a contemporary archive of Vietnam’s art and cultural landscape, as well as a foundational platform to promote interdisciplinary collaborations both domestically and internationally, towards an open, fair, and transparent ecosystem.
This year, Hanoi Grapevine’s Finest 2024-2025 is divided into two major categories: Honouring and Recognition. Nominations are selected based on sets of criteria that aim to highlight the developmental significance and scale of impact, including activity level, community impact, creativity, organisational capability and artistic quality.
