PERFORMING ARTS IN SPRING FESTIVAL

About project: Performing Arts in Spring Festival (P.A.S Festival) was first initiated and co-organised in 2015. The festival aims to create a place and a time for multicultural artistic exchange between the various actors of the performing arts present in Vietnam and Southeast Asia.

For 10 days, improvisation matches, theatre plays, music and dance performances are brought together, either created in Hanoi or elsewhere, presented by children, teenagers, adults and ideally for a large audience. Celebrating multilingualism and fostering cultural connection through artistic practice, the majority of the shows are available in Vietnamese, English and French to facilitate the meeting and cultural exchanges between artists and audiences from diverse backgrounds.

Since 2020, the festival has been structured into three main programmes: Kid P.A.S for all children under 12 years old; TeenAdult P.A.S for everyone from 12 years old to adult; and Street P.A.S – a series of impromptu performances in public spaces across the city.

HANOI GRAPEVINE’s FINEST is an annual event that honors contemporary art projects in Vietnam. The event is organized and nominated by Hanoi Grapevine and the general audience.

Entering its 6th year, Hanoi Grapevine’s Finest aims to go beyond an annual honouring event to become a contemporary archive of Vietnam’s art and cultural landscape, as well as a foundational platform to promote interdisciplinary collaborations both domestically and internationally, towards an open, fair, and transparent ecosystem.

This year, Hanoi Grapevine’s Finest 2024-2025 is divided into two major categories: Honouring and Recognition. Nominations are selected based on sets of criteria that aim to highlight the developmental significance and scale of impact, including activity level, community impact, creativity, organisational capability and artistic quality.
