Robert Henke, Tri Minh & Vu Nhat Tan

Soundscape, a ‘sound landscape’, indicates the totality of an ‘audible’ environment. The term is used primarily in experimental new music and refers to a musical treatment and presentation of sounds and noises (not created by instruments) which give the audience the feeling of being part of a specific acoustic environment.

For Germany Year 2010 the German composer, sound designer and live performer Robert Henke and his Vietnamese colleagues Tri Minh and Vu Nhat Tan together create a soundscape Hanoi. Robert Henke’s works are notable for their high degree of complexity and a great richness of sound. His concerts and interactive installations have been presented in, among others, the Tate Modern in London, the Centre Pompidou in Paris and the Art Gallery of New South Wales in Sydney. Tri Minh is a musician, DJ and the founder of the music festival Hanoi Sound Stuff. Vu Nhat Tan works mainly in the field of experimental music and teaches at the Hanoi Music Academy.
