Pianist Cesare Picco in Concert at Hanoi Opera House

The first of three concerts in Italian Music Month will feature the Italian jazz pianist Cesare Picco performing at Hanoi Opera House.

Cesare Picco (1969) is a piano composer and improvisator. Author of ballets, operas and special projects performed worldwide from 1986 with remarkable success. In 2007 he published ‘Back Bach to Me’, a personal interpretation of Bach’s 5° Brandenburg concert performed with the Berlin Chamber Soloists. He also collaborated with artists such as Giovanni Sollima, Markus Stockhausen, Taketo Gohara, Yukimi Nagano, Andrea Bocelli. On the occasion of his concert in Hanoi, Cesare Picco will also perform with the Vietnamese composer and musician Tri Minh for a special “Hanoi Improvisation”.

PIANO Recital Concert retraces some of the defining moments in the artistic journey of this polyhedric and immensely curious musician. The poetry, the beautiful melodies and profound spirituality – typical of Cesare Picco’s music – come to life in this concert. His vast repertoire and real improvisations make each concert unique and unrepeatable. The result of all is music without bounds nor limits that draws and takes inspiration from the history of music itself.
