Italian Music Month for 1000 years Thang Long – Hanoi

To celebrate the 1000th anniversary of Thang Long – Hanoi, the Embassy of Italy organizes a special Italian Music Month at Hanoi Opera House with the participation of great Italian musicians who will perform together with Vietnamese artists.

The first event will be held on September 11th 2010 with the participation of the Italian jazz pianist Cesare Picco in concert with Hanoi DJ and electronic musician Tri Minh. On September 20th 2010 the world known Italian flute player Andrea Griminelli will give in Hanoi a special concert on the occasion of his Asian tour 2010. On October 15th 2010 one of the most talented Italian pianists Gabriele Carcano returns to Vietnam – after his remarkable success in November 2009 when he performed in front of President Nguyen Minh Triet – to perform together with the Orchestra of Vietnam National Opera and Ballet Theatre.

The unique concerts will strengthen the friendship between Italian and Vietnamese people as well as the mutual knowledge of our thousand-year civilizations.
