Like a prayer for dead spirits…
Like a sigh over pains and losses…
Above all, it is a removal of dark corners in each soul in order to live together in a peaceful world.
This site specific contemporary dance performance is staged by British artist Kwesi Johnson of Kompany Malakhi and the +84 Contemporary Dance Group: Nguyễn Anh Đức, Đỗ Văn Hiền, Đỗ Hoàng Thi Ngọc, and dancers from Viet Bac Folk Song & Dance Theatre.
Entitled ‘Huhmmm…’, the performance is a prayer for dead spirits, a sigh over pains and losses and above all, it is a removal of dark corners in each soul in order to live together in a peaceful world.
This dance project is part of the British Council’s artistic regional programme entitled ‘Inclusive Cities’ which aims at celebrating and giving voice to the communities of the cities of East Asia, China and the UK through performances, workshops and collaborative projects.
