Turning the Tide: Call for proposal
Submission Deadline: 08 Oct 2009

An exciting new opportunity to do some work in Taiwan.

“Turning the Tide” is an International Environmental Sculpture Exhibition, which will be held at Taiwan’s National Museum of Marine Biology and Aquarium (NMMBA) in Pingtung County, Taiwan.

“Turning the Tide” will be an exhibition of indoor and outdoor environmental artworks created by invited artists from Taiwan and countries around the world. The theme of the exhibition will be the challenge of changing our habits and lives to “turn the tide” of environmental degradation. The exhibition will focus on environmental issues relating to oceans and the marine environment.

The exhibition will open on December 5 and 6, 2009, and continue through January 31, 2010. Some works may stay on exhibition after this date also. The selected artists will be invited to Taiwan for two weeks (November 23 – December 7, 2009) to create site-specific works at the NMMBA.

Proposals including written description, sketch or rendering and CV/resume should be sent to Jane Ingram Allen by e mail before October 8, 2009. Send all materials to this email address: [email protected]
