We would like to invite you to attend the opening reception of the Contemporary Art program QUEER FOREVER!
QUEER FOREVER! introduces artworks by artists Việt Lê, Nguyễn Tân Hoàng, Lu Yang, Gabby Quỳnh Anh Miller and Nguyễn Quốc Thành. Under the artistic view of the artists, these artwork express different perspectives that reflect images and culture of the LGBTQ community at different aspect of life.
In Love Bang!. artists Việt Lê features a strange love trangle, across the continents and gender-crossed, where rap music in Vietnames, Khmer and English languages is in the background.
Artist Nguyễn Tân Hoàng looks at the representation of Asian-American masculinity and sexuality, deals with race and ethnicity, explore meanings behind texts and images in personal ads in online dating services.
What will happen when a body of a man becomes a female sexual orgran? Chinese artist Lu Yang’s powerful futuristic work is related to gender, sexuality, science, technology and popular culture.
Gabby Quỳnh Anh Miller, an emerging Vietnamese-American artist uses silk painting techniques to portrait the Others – the queers, dreamers and sexual deviants, so close to her heart.
Artist Nguyễn Quốc Thành uses thread taken from used military clothes, deconstructs clothing as symbols of masculinity and power. And he reconstructs it again, through quiet tiny stitches of hand embroidery and sewing.

Nhà Sàn COLLECTIVE is not a museum, a gallery or an international culture institute where completed work are presented by established artists. Just like Nhà Sàn Studio before, it is a working studio to nurture where artists can create, collaborate, be given advices, critiques, and have chances to meet with international artists, curators. Works that are presented at open studio every month could be finished or not, but the process of developing idea and working to improve the quality of the art work for local artists is what Nhà Sàn COLLECTIVE focus on. Nhà Sàn COLLECTIVE will have “Open Studio” every last Saturday of each month to show the artist’s process of working. If you are interest and curious about experimental art, and want to have conversation with the working artists, please visit
