Yoshiko refuses to be an average housewife, and works on animated film projects at home. She uses assistance from Grandfather Akira, an eccentric old man who is a former animator and occasional model.

Uncle Ayano is a record producer who comes for a visit. He engages in inward reflection and recounts a childhood experience [which involved a ghost with sh*t on his head]”
“As quirky as it is brilliant, The Taste of Tea reminds the viewer of the beauty of life, family, and the awkward little moments we all endure, but never really truly appreciate till afterwards”
