8 pm: 5 minute introduction about the Speaker Series

1st Filmmaker and Film – (Hà Rika – Music Video: Happy Hanoi)
8.05 – 8.15 pm: Filmmaker will discuss her film (In Vietnamese with English translation)
8.15 – 8.20 pm: Watch Hà Rika’s music video
8.20 – 8.30 pm: Q&A/Discussion with Hà Rika

Kickstarter Trailer – Zone 9

8.30 – 8.40 pm:
Brief introduction about a documentary Kickstarter campaign that is happening now and show the trailer and pitch video. This is about a famous Hanoi art space, Zone 9.

This is a collaboration with a local prestigious film school, Doclab’s, very own Nguyen Anh Thu, the filmmaker, and a comic artist, Gabriel Hernandez.

2nd Filmmaker and Film – (Cường Đỗ Mạnh – Documentary: Twins)

8.40 – 8.50 pm: Filmmaker will discuss his film (Vietnamese with English translation)
8.50 – 9.10 pm: Watch Cường Đỗ Mạnh’s documentary (In Vietnamese with English subtitles)
9.10 – 9.20 pm: Q&A/Discussion with Cường Đỗ Mạnh

3rd Filmmaker and Film – (Aäron Johnson – Comedy and Film Reel)

9.20 – 9.30 pm: Filmmaker will discuss his film (In English with Vietnamese translation)
9.30 – 9.40 pm: Watch his reel (visual with music) and some sample comedy (English only) and possibly one more short.
9.40 – 9.50 pm: Q&A/Discussion with Aäron Johnson

4th Filmmaker and Film – (Nikolaj Svennevig – Fire spinning collaboration project)

9.50 – 10 pm: Filmmaker will discuss their film (In English with Vietnamese translation)
10 – 10.05 pm: Watch film
10.05 – 10.15 pm: Q&A/Discussion with Nikolaj Svennevig
10.15 – 10.45 pm: Half hour to hang out and discuss things more in depth and one on one.
