From Goethe Institut:

Inga Kerber’s works combine classical genres with new, accidental and deliberate defective reproduction techniques. By reference to her own works she explains this way of working within a workshop for young professionals. In a practical exercise she also enlarges upon the serial aspect of her works.

Moreover, the participants can discuss their works with the experienced artist in a portfolio review.

Inga Kerber is the fourth artist after Christiane Baumgartner, Kai Hügel and Benjamin Badock, to be awarded the Artist Residency Grant from the Cultural Foundation of Saxony. The Leipzig-based photographer will immerse herself in Vietnam’s arts and culture scene for three months while living and working in Hanoi.

To enroll for the workshop until 20.09.2015 please send an email with a letter of motivation and portfolio in English to Ms. Karla Franielczyk at [email protected].

After the workshop, Inga Kerber will be having a talk about contemporary photography in Vietnam and German contexts entitled: “Trends in Photography Today”.

Language: English, Vietnamese
