Nha San Collective
From Nha San Collective:
Ensembles Asia Orchestra is a project started in 2014 with the aim of establishing an orchestra that enables free styles to non-professional musicians.
This September, Mr. Otomo Yoshihide (musician), Mr. Fuji Hiroshi (artist), Mr. Ishikawa Naoki (photographer) and 6 students from the Tohoku region of Japan travel to Hanoi to find the city’s every-day life materials, and – together with the local artists – create “instruments”.
On Friday, September 25th, Nha San Collective will collaborate with Japanese artists and the Japan Foundation to hold a talk introducing the project and the following programme. In addition, Otomo Yoshihide will also conduct his first live solo performance in Hanoi to introduce his musical practice.
Joining in the talk will be a special guest, artist Tran Luong and two artists from Nha San Collective Nguyen Ban Ga and Phung Tien Son.
This event is open to the public and does not require pre-registration, but the organizers will be able to limit the number of visitors in case the venue is at full capacity.

Nhà Sàn COLLECTIVE is not a museum, a gallery or an international culture institute where completed work are presented by established artists. Just like Nhà Sàn Studio before, it is a working studio to nurture where artists can create, collaborate, be given advices, critiques, and have chances to meet with international artists, curators. Works that are presented at open studio every month could be finished or not, but the process of developing idea and working to improve the quality of the art work for local artists is what Nhà Sàn COLLECTIVE focus on.
If you are interest and curious about experimental art, and want to have conversation with the working artists, please visit
