Nha San Studio Collective & Muong would like to invite you to attend a talk with artist Tor Archer on the occasion of him attending Muong AIR residency programs, held in October 2015 at Muong Studio. Tor will present his journey to the arts, his current work and his walk in the world of the arts that led him to his present compositions.
In a creation, Tor Archer chooses natural materials that are common and most simple, searchable and surrounding him. Beginning with simple points, Tor develops an aesthetic look approaching a harmony between natural shapes and inner senses to form another deep inner world. The art of Tor emphasizes “happening” that was driven by intuition and basic instinct.
During the talk, Tor Archer will also share his experiences during the session at Muong Studio. These experiences reflect aesthetic thinking and outside-in interaction.
Tor Archer is an artist based in Boston, USA. He has worked as an independent artist since 1988, participated in many events, solo/group exhibitions in San Francisco, Utah, Seattle, California, Boston and many other places in America. Tor Archer’s artworks are currently on display at Julie nester Gallery (Utah), Donna Seager Gallery (California). He was nominated for the prize of the Contemporary Jewish Museum (CA), 2009, Museum of Modern Art in San Francisco in 2001 and 2003.
The talk will be conducted in English. Vietnamese listeners will be assisted by our interpreter.
