Manzi Art Space
From Manzi:
Manzi is pleased to host LO/HI – An artist talk and performance by sound artists/ experimental musicians – Mathias Rossignol and Nhung Nguyen.
Hi-fi / Lo-fi, Hi-tech / Lo-tech… How can or shall we blur the traditional distinctions of music to create a new sonic experimentation. Mixing laptops and analog/DIY gears, wooden cogs, motion capture and found objects, this evening is dedicated to the search of new processes in music-making.
Mathias Rossignol’s set for this concert will feature wooden mechanical contraptions and minimal electrical circuits, “expanded” by customed computer programs. Nhung Nguyen’s set will be a combination of laptop, contact microphones and found objects.
