Hanoi Grapevine is a website that posts information about culture and arts events in Vietnam namely art exhibitions, film and music festivals, theatre performances, original music gigs, documentary and film screenings, photography, fashion and literary events as well as charity events and sometimes also networking gatherings. (Position closed) Part-time Content Editor:
Responsibilities:
Working together with the Grapevine content team to generate updated and interesting content for the website, including:
• Uploading and editing event information and opinion information sent by the event organizers and writers onto Grapevine website,
• Searching information on opportunities for artists,
• Writing and summarizing general posts such as “Some event highlights in April in Hanoi”, “Music events in October in Hanoi”, etc.,
• Occasionally conducting interviews and writing new articles for the website,
• Other tasks if required.
Requirements:
• Having an interest in the arts and cultural activities and share Grapevine’s vision, mission and values,
• Having excellent writing skills in both English and Vietnamese,
• Having an eye for details and an interest in working with content,
• Familiarity with WordPress (preferable having owned a personal WordPress blog before),
• Having a positive attitude and willing to contribute to the development of Grapevine,
• Previous experience in writing and editing is a plus,
• Knowledge on content marketing and SEO is a plus.

Responsibilities:
• Selling advertising spaces to a group of selected businesses,
• Setting up meetings and attending the meetings with potential sponsors for Grapevine’s events (art exhibitions, music gigs, art talks, etc.),
• Calling sponsorship, writing proposals and negotiating with sponsors for Grapevine’s events,
• Draft a sales strategy for Grapevine,
• Assisting the Grapevine team in other tasks if required.
Requirements:
• Having an interest in the arts and cultural activities and share Grapevine’s vision, mission and values,
• Having an interest and experience in sales work,
• Effective communications skills both in English and Vietnamese, both verbal and writing skills,
• Confident, friendly and comfortable working with people,
• Experience working in fundraising and calling for sponsorships is a plus

Responsibilities:
• Design any necessary documents and visual materials (Facebook covers, ads, rate cards, etc.)
• Assist in Grapevine’s next art exhibition design tasks (brochures, flyers, poster, invitation letters, etc.)
• Other tasks if required.
Requirements:
• Having an interest in the arts and cultural activities and share Grapevine’s vision, mission and values,
• Having an eye for elegance, especially in working with artworks,
• Having a positive attitude and willing to contribute to the development of Grapevine,
• Decent English skills to communicate with the international team of Grapevine,
• Familiarity with Photoshop, Illustrator, Indesign; knowledge of any other design or video editing programs is a plus.

Working time:
• Flexible part time, depending on the workload with an average of no more than 3-4 hours per day,
• Half a day presence at office per week to discuss work and progress.
Working requirements:
• Constantly update new versions of WordPress and related plugins,
• Make alterations and fix any problems on the website when required,
• Deal with hosting and server issues,
• Deal with newsletter system (Mailchimp, Feedburner),
• Deal with technical issues on the Grapevine online shop (to be discussed more),
• Perform other technical tasks when required.
Working skills and knowledge:

• Technical English and average communicative English to be able to work directly with Grapevine’s founder who is an English speaker and to deal with Singaporean host
• Preferred candidates who are familiar with Hanoi Grapevine and have an interest in the cultural landscape of Vietnam.
