29 Locations
Hanoi will set off fireworks at 29 locations for 15 minutes on the first day of Lunar New Year Festival.

Four locations for high-range fireworks include Hoan Kiem Lake (Hoan Kiem district) Dong Da Lake (Dong Da district), Thang Loi Hotel (Tay Ho district) and Van Quan Lake (Ha Dong district). The other locations in the remaining 25 inner and outlying districts will have low-range firework shows.

Evening 03, 04, 05 Feb (01, 02, 03 Lunar New Year):
+ Traditional Music at Communal Houses, Kim Ngan Temple (42 Hang Bac),  Hong Lac Temple (38 Hang Dao) & 85 Hang Gai
+ Exhibition of Traditional Paintings will be held in 28 Hang Buom
+ Exhibition to display how Vietnamese celebrate Lunar New Year at 87 Ma May. Visitors will have the chance to see the typical Vietnamese’s decoration and their practices during Tet.

06 – 08 Feb 2011, 8.30 am – 5.30 pm
Vietnam Museum of Ethnology
The Viet Nam Museum of Ethnology will hold its annual Tet (Lunar New Year) celebrations on February 6-8, with music, food and games – and the participation of 90 representatives from six ethnic groups from around the country. The Raglai from the central province of Ninh Thuan and the Dao Lo Gang and Na Mieo from the northern province of Lang Son will be participating in the holiday programme for the first time.
