You are invited to the exhibition of Vietnamese folk painting – Trio painting sets and the seminar with the participation of well-known speakers tomorrow. Aesthetic value, the promotion of Vietnamese folk culture and the conservation of written material heritage are the focus of this event.
The seminar will be hosted by professor Phan Huy Le ( President of the Association of Vietnamese Historians ), Philippe Papin ( École pratique des hautes études ), Olivier Tessier ( EFEO representative in Vietnam) and Pascal Bourdeaux (EPHE representative in HCMC).
Some villages and streets in Hanoi which specialize in making folk painting have been renowned for the sophistication and their technique of color plate ( Dong Ho ) or brush painting ( Hang Trong ).
