Young Portfolio 2016: Call for Entries
Deadline: 15 May 2016

From the open call:

Young Portfolio (YP) is a program of the Kiyosato Museum of Photographic Arts (K*MoPA) to collect and exhibit excellent works by young photographers. Photographers who are 35 years old or younger are invited to submit their work for acquisition for the Museum’s permanent collection in response to the annual call for submissions.

YP is not a contest. It is an ongoing project to encourage young photographers by purchasing ambitious work by devoted photographers passionate about their creative efforts. Through this unique project, YP challenges the wider world to examine the true value of these young artists’ abilities and also preserves their work for later generations.

Eligibility
Applicants must have been born after January 1, 1981 (i.e., must not be above 35 years of age); applications from photographers and artists who work in the medium of photography, regardless of gender, nationality or professional or amateur status, are welcome.

The Selection Committee
Selection will be made by a selection committee appointed by the Museum. The 2016 selection committee members are CHANG Chao-Tang(Taiwan), Keizo KITAJIMA and Eikoh HOSOE (Director of the Museum).

For applications not from Japan, the application fee is US$15, paid via PayPal.
