You are invited to the talk show “Writing for Young Audience – how to touch their hearts?” on the occasion of the book launch for the Vietnamese edition of “Simple” by Marie-Aude Murail.
Marie-Aude Murail started writing since the age of 13. After pursuing a degree in Literature at Sorbonne University, she worked at Mondiales, where from 1980 to 1987, she published around 100 short stories for feminine press such as Intimité, Nous Deux. In the mid-1990s, she published her first two novels for adults, “Passage” and “Voici Lou”. Yet her most successful works are the novels written for young adults, including “Nils Hazard”, “Émilien” – whose first volume “Baby-sitter blues” was translated and published in Vietnam; and other remarkable novels such as “Oh, boy!”, “Miss Charity”, “Simple”, v.v.
Her stories, revolving around familiar topics – friendship, family and interpersonal relationships, are educational yet light and touching at the same time. Marie-Aude Murail is now one of France’s most-read and well-admired authors for young adults.
