500 ducks – could the nonsense poultry-yard be a reflection of our contemporary lives?

The work is a genuine dialogue between tradition and modernity. The vision of some 500 ducks, heads of some mixed with the bodies of others, outline the portrait of our contemporary lives. Living at the expense of others: this is not necessarily the way that the individual would choose personally but it is one to which it abides since it is the choice of the majority. Can the image of the yard be a reflection of a society confused, disoriented, without identity and conformist?

Life itself is the greatest source of inspiration for the work of Trần Đức Qủy. Developed over several years, her work shows great satirical dimension.
