4 bộ phim ngắn về Buổi chiếu bóng Long Biên làm từ năm 2010 đã được ghép lại thành một bộ phim tài liệu dài 45 phút mang tên Đường tàu vắt qua sông.
Bộ phim đã tham gia vào Liên hoan phim tài liệu Salaya tại Thái Lan và giành được giải BỘ PHIM HAY NHẤT.
(Giải thưởng vừa được công bố vào tối ngày chủ nhật. Thông tin vẫn chưa được đăng tải chính thức trên website và hy vọng những thôn tin này sẽ sớm được đăng tải để mọi người biết đến!)
Bộ phim do Trần Thị Anh Phương, Đỗ Văn Hoàng, Phạm Thu Hằng và Trần Thanh Hiền đạo diễn; Nguyễn Trinh Thi, Jamie Maxtone-Graham và Doclab chịu trách nhiệm sản xuất với nguồn kinh phí tài trợ của Hội đồng Anh và viện Goethe.

From the jury about the film – “HARD RAILS ACROSS A GENTLE RIVER cleverly makes use of the location which are the bridge, the river and its surroundings to portray the many aspects of people’s everyday life in a big city of Hanoi especially the hardship, the hope and the struggle. Also the way it tells the story is engaging, captivating, emotional and heartfelt.”

It is great to know that the efforts of these filmmakers have been rewarded with well deserved recognition.
Their short documentaries were utterly engaging, informative and truly enjoyable. I went home after the screening with expanded knowledge and views of the life of the ordinary Vietnamese people.
