The Learning Hub
14 Ngo Quyen, Hanoi

From the organizer:

Have you ever been surprised by the intelligence of your own body? The flexibility of your forearm? The multiple use of your neck? How your feet can weave together?

If the answer is “No” (or “What on earth is going on?”), then join us at Động, a workshop that will help you feel the intimate mind-body connection.

Facilitated by Tu & Khuyen, two young friends with plenty of experiences and passion for the body and its motions, this workshop will combine movements and conversations, feet and hearts, movement and stillness. You’ll leave knowing yourself and other people in a different way.

We only have one body, but have we fully known it? Join us this Thursday evening to find out, and bring your friends! :-) AND WEAR COMFORTABLE CLOTHES!

**This workshop is for you if:
– You want to know and reconnect with yourself in your own body
– You often feel shy with strangers and would like a chance to be bolder
– You often tell yourself “I’ve got to try something new sometimes!”

**It’s not for you if:
– You already know yourself too well
– You are too busy on a Thursday night
– (You think young people are somewhat crazy…)

About the facilitators:

Tu holds a degree in Interdisciplinary Arts from Everett College. With a background in visual arts and theater, Tu pursues and conceives movement as a cross-displinary art form. He received his dance training from Velocity Dance and Kinergie Studio.

Khuyen had a few years of breakdance experiences before falling in love with Contact Improvisation, an interactive movement arts that allows spontaneous expression. He is keen on exploring movement as a way for group of people to attune, connect and co-create. Khuyen is a joyous recent grad of Tufts University, picking up dance along the way from various lovely teachers.

Suggested donation: 50,000vnd/participant. We’ll be contributing this fund towards the Contact Improvisation group in Hanoi where we will get to move like this more often)
