Lacquer art: the mastery of patience – covering to reveal, concealing to manifest.
Flow of Lacquer stems from a simple premise: individuals may originate from entirely different backgrounds, yet they converge at a single intersection – a deep passion for Vietnamese lacquer art and an unyielding reverence for genuine beauty.
The exhibition brings together 20 artists from diverse professional fields – architecture, design, business, brand management, and scientific research – yielding a rich spectrum of visual languages.
The 65 works presented are the fruit of a rigorous subtractive journey. Here, beauty never arises from effortless spontaneity. It is the reward of an authentic commitment – a physical and mental endurance that pushes past personal boundaries, through the relentless trials of the medium, the skin, and the soul.
