What happens when artists return to unfinished, forgotten, or abandoned practices?
During the event “Abandoned, Practiced Again [Storage Bodies]: Looking Forward by Looking Backward and Inward”, four artists will be brought into one room to revisit works, ideas, and practices that were once left behind and discover what might still be alive within them: Dr Lap-Xuan Do-Nguyen returns to sculpture through performance; Hoang-Vu Nguyen and Nhi Le revisit an unfinished Antigone and Selected Water; Thuy-Tien Vo returns to a body of poetry, exploring whether words that have been left behind can still survive.
Through structured responses and close collaboration, the artists encounter one another’s practices, creating unexpected connections between works that might otherwise never meet. A performance about return, rediscovery, and what happens when forgotten ideas are given space to live again.
The event is a part of Track 03 – Living Laboratories by VFCD.
