Á Space invites you to “At the Chimeric Edge”, the first duo presentation by Trịnh Anh and Lê Tâm, continuing their experiments with lacquer and living forms that exist beyond any stable order. Here, bodies are fragmented, branched, hybridised, and reconstituted; imagined creatures encounter bodies that have been classified, bred, utilised, and brought to death. Between memories of nature and a world increasingly reconfigured by technology, between instinct and control, life appears as an ongoing chain of transformation, where death may be only another link in the loop.
From Trịnh Anh’s imagined organisms to Lê Tâm’s controlled bodies in The Slaughterhouse, “At the Chimeric Edge” asks where human beings stand among other forms of life: are we observing nature, reproducing it, or ultimately creating a new, dreamlike nature according to structures of order that we ourselves no longer fully control?
At this edge, “the chimeric” does not necessarily describe a fictional world. It may simply be the world that quietly exists, where forms of life continue to transform before they have even been given a name.

About artists
Lê Tâm born 2000) is a visual artist who specializes in Sơn mài (a Vietnamese lacquer form), she practices art through experimenting with Sơn ta (Vietnamese lacquer) on different materials. She obtained her BFA in 2023 and MFA in 2026 at the Vietnam University of Fine Art, majoring in Sơn mài.
Her works are exhibited at “Future Spectrum” at Galerie du Futur (2026), “Vietnam – Korean Cultural exchange” group exhibition (2025), group exhibition “Conversating with Ukiyo-e” at Temple of Literature and The Japan Foundation in Vietnam (2024).
Trịnh Anh (b. 2001) is a visual artist currently living and working in Hanoi, Vietnam. She received her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the Vietnam University of Fine Arts in 2024, majoring in Lacquer Painting in the Department of Fine Art. From her earliest works produced as part of her major coursework, she has been interested in exploring themes of social reality through a personal perspective and subjective perceptions of the transformative nature of objects as they evolve over the course of time.
