Blurring (the borders)

06 PM – 09:30 PM, Fri 17 July 2026
Á Space
Alley 59 Ngô Gia Tự, Long Biên, Hà Nội (turn right at the end of the alley, walk 500m), Hanoi
From the organizer:
This Friday (17/07), we bring together food, mobility, the spontaneity of performance, and the intimate language of music to create a mixing gathering – one where the borders between artistic disciplines meet, support one another, and gradually dissolve.
In the garden on the third floor of Á Space, Kieu Anh and Thuy Anh will present a duo performance structured around one hot pot and one cold pot. Everyone is invited to extend the work by bringing a spice they love. Capable of travelling across landscapes and cultures, spices become a material for exchanging and preserving memories, origins, and stories of place.
The evening will also feature a secret performance by Nguyen Dinh Phuong.
Once the pots have cooled, from 20:00 onwards, Á Space will transform into an open jam session. If you play an instrument, bring it along from 18:30. Please send Á Space a message in advance so we can make room for your sound in the evening.
‘Blurring (the borders)’ is envisioned as a space for free spirits—for those who love food, playfulness, performance art, and improvisation. Rather than ending the open studio with a passive closing event, Thuy Anh, Kieu Anh, Nhat Minh, and Hanoi Bedroom Shows would like to hand it over to a warm and generous evening: a chance to welcome you, or perhaps to let you fall into us; to taste something both sweet and spicy in the democratic act of exchange, in intimacy, in silence, and, simply, in love within the four walls of the white cube.
‘Blurring (the borders)’ is part of ‘Transient Ecologies’, a project organised by Á Space with the support of Goethe-Institut Hanoi.
