Hao Si Phuong is one of the few remaining Chinese community residential compounds in Ho Chi Minh City that has retained much of its distinctive architectural and cultural character. However, these values are now threatened by rapid renovation and development.
Featuring an exhibition, talk, and mini tour, this event invites participants on an inspiring journey of heritage regeneration, led directly by architect Nguyen Dang Anh Dung, Founder & Lead Architect at AD+studio.
By adaptively reusing an old house into AD+studio’s office, the project introduces a new function into an existing frame, proving heritage can dynamically adapt to modern life. The office has become a space for connection between visitors and the local community, incorporating an featuring an exhibition area that showcases traditional handicrafts and tells the story of Hao Si Phuong
