Explore stories of memory, heritage, identity, and changing landscapes through a curated selection of short films by artists and filmmakers from Vietnam and beyond.

Featuring:

Of Fading Blooms
A young woman travels back in time to prevent her parents from ever meeting. Through a deeply personal story, the film explores love, guilt, forgiveness, and the wish for peace and happiness for one’s family.

Mahatup
A documentary portrait of the Khmer community in Sóc Trăng, exploring the efforts to preserve cultural identity while protecting their land from environmental change through reforestation.

Pillars
A reflection on Ho Chi Minh City’s rapid transformation, capturing everyday spaces and the ways people continue to create meaning and connection within a changing urban landscape.

Prototyping Permission: Animated Urban Popups
An exploration of micro-urban interventions and how design can activate underused city spaces through creative, community-focused solutions.

Chung cư Project 2026: Living Heritage and Community Resilience
A documentary project that reimagines old apartment buildings in Ho Chi Minh City as living heritage – shaped by the memories, stories, and everyday lives of their communities.

Du Long Du Canh: How to Listen to the Hands That Make
A journey through the Mekong Delta, following craftspeople and their relationships with land, tradition, and making. The screening will be followed by a conversation on community-based storytelling and filmmaking.
