From TồLô Puppet Theatre:

Entirely different realms of space and time
Telling you the stories that are both mystical and intimate

Inspired by fond memories of whole neighborhoods gathering around an old TV set or an outdoor screen, we bring animation, puppetry and micro-cinema closer to local audiences through picture show at familiar community spaces across Hanoi.

TồLô warmly invites you to gather and discover these itty-bitty stories hoping these spaces will allow us to touch memories and connect through the shared language of visual imagery.

About project

Through the Frame: Puppetry in Motion is a project initiated by ToLo Puppet Theatre, focusing on creatives that combine puppetry / object theatre, camera, and live performance.

As the project enters its final chapter, MICROFESTIVAL invites audiences to explore the world of contemporary puppetry through two event series, each offering a distinct way of experiencing contemporary storytelling.

(1) Puppetry in Motion (17–20 August)
chit-chat/iced tea/coffee/hangouts/… + puppet picture show

(2) Micro-Cinema Theatre Showcase (22–23 August)
Discover the Micro-Cinema Theatre, where the boundaries between live performance and the screen become fluid.
